Islamic extremism
Islamic extremism refers to radical beliefs and practices among a small minority of Muslims who interpret Islam in a way that justifies violence and hostility towards others. These individuals often believe that their actions are a form of jihad, or struggle, to defend or promote their interpretation of Islam. This extremism can lead to terrorism and conflict, often fueled by political, social, and economic grievances. Importantly, the vast majority of Muslims are peaceful and reject such extremist views, emphasizing that the core teachings of Islam promote compassion, justice, and coexistence.
