Intravitreal Injections

Intravitreal injections are a medical procedure where medication is injected directly into the gel-like space inside the eye, called the vitreous cavity. This method is commonly used to treat various eye conditions, such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusion. By delivering the medication directly into the eye, it allows for higher concentrations at the target site, improving effectiveness. The procedure is typically quick, performed in a doctor's office, and may cause minimal discomfort. Patients may experience some temporary blurred vision afterward but generally can resume normal activities shortly after.
