Ranibizumab
Ranibizumab is a medical treatment used to address certain eye conditions, such as age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema, and retinal vein occlusion. It is a form of medication called an anti-VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) agent, which works by blocking a protein that promotes abnormal blood vessel growth and leakage in the eye. By inhibiting this process, Ranibizumab helps reduce fluid accumulation and prevents further damage to the retina. It is typically administered through a series of injections directly into the eye by a healthcare professional to improve or maintain vision.
