Internalism and Externalism

Internalism and Externalism are theories about how we justify belief. Internalism says knowledge depends on factors within your conscious control, like your reasons or evidence. So, if you know something, you can explain why. Externalism, however, suggests knowledge can rely on factors outside your control - how your belief was formed or where it came from. For instance, you might know something instinctively without knowing why. You just do. Thus, Internalism stresses on self-awareness while Externalism focuses on objective truth.
