Skepticism and Fallibilism
Skepticism is the view that we might not have knowledge or certainty about things, suggesting we question our beliefs. Fallibilism complements this by acknowledging that our knowledge can always be mistaken; even well-supported beliefs might be false. In the context of internalism and externalism, internalism emphasizes the individual's mental states and justifications for knowledge, while externalism considers outside factors, like social context or evidence availability, as essential. Together, these concepts highlight the complexities of knowing something and the possibility that our beliefs are influenced by both internal reasoning and external realities.
