
Human Rights Council
The Human Rights Council (HRC) is an intergovernmental body within the United Nations, composed of 47 member states. It promotes and protects human rights globally by addressing violations, overseeing the implementation of international human rights laws, and conducting reviews of member states' records. The Council conducts discussions, encourages resolution of human rights issues, and can make recommendations to improve situations worldwide.
