Hemodialysis
Hemodialysis is a medical treatment used for people with kidney failure. It involves a machine that filters waste, excess fluids, and toxins from the blood when the kidneys can no longer perform this function. During the procedure, blood is drawn from the body, passed through a dialyzer (a special filter), and then returned to the body. This process typically takes about three to five hours and is usually done three times a week. Hemodialysis helps maintain health and balance in the body by removing harmful substances that would otherwise build up.
