Kidney Failure

Kidney failure, also known as renal failure, occurs when the kidneys lose their ability to filter waste and excess fluids from the blood. This can lead to the buildup of harmful substances in the body, causing serious health issues. Acute kidney failure happens suddenly, often due to illness or injury, while chronic kidney failure develops slowly, often from conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure. Symptoms may include fatigue, swelling, and changes in urine output. Treatment options include medication, dialysis (a procedure to remove waste), or a kidney transplant, depending on the severity of the condition.
