Heart Rate Reserve
Heart Rate Reserve (HRR) is the difference between your resting heart rate and your maximum heart rate. It helps determine how much your heart can increase its rate during exercise. To find your HRR, you first estimate your maximum heart rate by subtracting your age from 220. Then, subtract your resting heart rate (measured when you’re calm) from this maximum. HRR is useful for setting exercise intensity levels: you can tailor your workouts to target different fitness goals, such as improving endurance or burning fat, ensuring you train effectively and safely.
