Grigory Zinoviev

Grigory Zinoviev was a prominent Soviet politician and revolutionary leader during the early years of the Soviet Union. Born in 1883, he was a key figure in the Bolshevik Party and closely associated with Vladimir Lenin. Zinoviev served as the head of the Communist International and played a significant role in promoting communism worldwide. However, after Lenin's death, he fell out of favor with Joseph Stalin and was ultimately expelled from the party. In 1936, he was executed during Stalin's Great Purge, highlighting the volatile nature of Soviet politics during this period.
