Zinoviev Letter

The Zinoviev Letter was a controversial, forged document purportedly from Soviet leader Grigory Zinoviev, urging British communists to support revolution. Circulated in 1924, it appeared to suggest communist influence was attempting to destabilize the UK. When fake, it influenced public opinion against communist parties, contributed to political polarization, and damaged the Labour Party's electoral chances.
