Francisco I. Madero

Francisco I. Madero (1873-1913) was a Mexican revolutionary leader and politician who played a key role in the early stages of the Mexican Revolution against the long-standing dictatorship of Porfirio Díaz. Advocating for democracy and social reforms, Madero promoted political change and civil rights, ultimately becoming the president of Mexico in 1911. However, his presidency faced significant challenges, leading to political instability. Madero was overthrown and assassinated in 1913, but his efforts are remembered for initiating a movement toward a more democratic Mexico, influencing subsequent struggles for justice and reform in the country.
