Civil War in Mexico

The Mexican Civil War, known as the Mexican Revolution, occurred from 1910 to 1920. It began as a rebellion against the long-standing dictatorship of President Porfirio Díaz. Discontent with social inequality, land issues, and political repression fueled the conflict. Various leaders, including Francisco Madero, Emiliano Zapata, and Pancho Villa, emerged, each advocating for reforms. The revolution led to significant social and political changes, ultimately resulting in the Constitution of 1917, which addressed land rights, labor rights, and governance. The war transformed Mexico's society and government, laying the foundation for modern Mexican politics.
