Plan de San Luis

The Plan de San Luis was a political proposal created in 1910 by Francisco Madero to challenge the long-standing dictatorship of Porfirio Díaz in Mexico. It called for the removal of Díaz from power, called for elections, and encouraged Mexicans to rise against the regime to establish democracy. Essentially, it was a rallying document aimed at uniting people to end Díaz’s rule and initiate political reform. The plan marked the start of the Mexican Revolution, inspiring widespread revolutionary activity across the country.
