Fermi Paradox

The Fermi Paradox describes the contradiction between the high probability of extraterrestrial life in the universe and the lack of evidence for or contact with such civilizations. Given the vast number of stars and planets, it seems likely that many could support life. However, despite this potential, we have not observed any signs of advanced alien societies. This raises questions about why we haven't encountered them, stimulating various theories ranging from the possibility of self-destruction among intelligent species to the idea that advanced civilizations may be avoiding us or simply don't exist.
