Interstellar messages

Interstellar messages are signals sent into space with the hope of communicating with extraterrestrial intelligence. These messages use various forms of encoding, such as binary code, to represent information about humanity, Earth's location, and our culture. Notable examples include the Arecibo message, transmitted in 1974, which contained data about our solar system, DNA, and human anatomy. The aim is to convey who we are and potentially invite responses from other civilizations beyond Earth. However, the vast distances and time it takes for messages to travel pose significant challenges for meaningful communication.
