Cannon-Bard Theory
The Cannon-Bard Theory of Emotion proposes that when we experience an emotional stimulus, our body reacts and we feel the emotion simultaneously but independently. For example, if you see a snake, your body might react by increasing your heart rate, while at the same time, you feel fear. Unlike other theories that suggest emotions result from bodily reactions, the Cannon-Bard Theory emphasizes that emotions and physical responses occur at the same time, meaning our mental and physical responses are connected but not directly dependent on each other.
