Bohemond of Taranto was a Norman leader and a key figure in the First Crusade (1096-1099). Born around 1050, he was the son of Robert Guiscard, a prominent Norman nobleman. Bohemond played a crucial role in capturing Jerusalem, demonstrating military skill and ambition. He became the Prince of Antioch, establishing one of the first Crusader states.
