The Behavioral Insights Team, also known as the "Nudge Unit," is a group of experts who apply psychology and research to improve public policies and programs. By understanding how people make decisions, they design strategies—often called "nudges"—that gently encourage better choices in areas like health, finance, and waste reduction, without restricting freedom. Their goal is to make systems more effective and easier for individuals to navigate, ultimately leading to positive social outcomes through evidence-based, subtle interventions.
