Baal Hammon
Baal Hammon was an ancient deity worshipped primarily in the Phoenician and Carthaginian cultures, often associated with agriculture and fertility. He is typically depicted as a god of renewal, overseeing the growth of crops and the fertility of livestock. Baal Hammon was also linked to the sun and had connections to fire, symbolizing the warmth and vital energy needed for growth. He was honored with rituals and offerings, including child sacrifices, particularly in times of crisis. His counterpart, the goddess Tanit, was frequently worshipped alongside him, underscoring their importance in the spiritual life of ancient Carthage.
