Autocracy
Autocracy is a system of government where one person holds all the power and authority, making decisions without input from others. This leader often controls the state and its policies, limiting dissent and opposition. Unlike democratic systems where power is shared among the people or their representatives, an autocrat acts unilaterally, which can lead to more efficient decision-making but risks oppression and abuse of power. In such regimes, citizens typically have little to no role in shaping laws or governance, resulting in a concentration of authority that can significantly impact society and individual freedoms.
