Amurru
Amurru was an ancient Semitic deity worshiped in the Near East, particularly by the Amorite people. In mythology, he is often associated with the mountains and shepherding, symbolizing the connection between nature and human life. Amurru is regarded as a protector of the pastoral lifestyle, representing fertility and the prosperity of livestock. The name "Amurru" itself is sometimes used to refer to the Amorite people as a whole, who played a significant role in the history of Mesopotamia around the 2nd millennium BCE. His worship reflects the cultural and religious practices of early civilizations in that region.
