Amplitude Modulation (AM)

Amplitude Modulation (AM) is a technique used to encode information in a carrier wave for transmission. In AM, the strength (amplitude) of the wave is varied in accordance with the sound or data being sent, while its frequency remains constant. This means that the audio signal, like voice or music, is used to modulate the amplitude of the carrier wave. AM is commonly used in radio broadcasting and is simple to implement, making it popular despite being more susceptible to interference than other methods, such as Frequency Modulation (FM).
