Ahmadu Bello

Ahmadu Bello (1909-1966) was a prominent Nigerian political leader and the Sardauna of Sokoto. He played a crucial role in Nigeria's struggle for independence from British colonial rule and was instrumental in the development of Northern Nigeria. As the first premier of Northern Nigeria, he focused on education and economic development, advocating for the rights of his region while promoting unity among Nigeria's diverse ethnic groups.
