Northern Nigeria History

Northern Nigeria's history is marked by its diverse cultural and ethnic groups, primarily the Hausa and Fulani. The region saw the establishment of powerful city-states, such as Kano and Zaria, known for trade and craftsmanship. In the early 19th century, the Fulani jihad led by Usman dan Fodio united various communities under the Sokoto Caliphate.
