Time Division Multiplexing

Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) is a technology that allows multiple signals to share the same communication channel by dividing time into small intervals or slots. Each signal is assigned a specific time slot during which it can transmit its data. This means that instead of sending data simultaneously, each signal takes turns, quickly switching between them. TDM is used in telecommunications, such as in telephone networks, to efficiently utilize bandwidth and reduce interference, ensuring that multiple users can communicate over the same line without disrupting each other.
