The limited cognitive capacity theory
The limited cognitive capacity theory suggests that our brains have a finite amount of resources for processing information at any given time. When we encounter new information, such as in general knowledge, we can only hold a certain number of facts or concepts in our active memory. If we try to learn too much at once, or if the information is too complex, we may struggle to retain or understand it. This theory helps explain why breaking information into smaller, manageable chunks can enhance learning and comprehension.
