Terrorism and asymmetric warfare
Terrorism is the use of violence, often against civilians, to instill fear and achieve political aims. It typically involves non-state actors who target perceived enemies to influence public opinion or government policy. Asymmetric warfare refers to conflicts where opposing forces differ significantly in power, resources, or tactics. Here, weaker parties use unconventional strategies, like guerrilla tactics or terrorism, to offset their disadvantages against stronger militaries. Both concepts emphasize the challenges in addressing conflicts where traditional military responses may be less effective.
