Spanish government

The Spanish government operates as a parliamentary constitutional monarchy, meaning it has both a king and a parliament. The King serves as a ceremonial figurehead, while real political power lies with the elected parliament, known as the Cortes Generales, which is divided into two chambers: the Congress of Deputies and the Senate. The Prime Minister, elected by the Congress, leads the executive branch and oversees government operations. Spain's system also includes 17 autonomous communities with their own governments, allowing regional decision-making on various issues, reflecting the country's diverse cultures and languages.
