Shuja-ud-Daula
Shuja-ud-Daula was an important historical figure in 18th-century India, serving as the Nawab of Awadh (Oudh) from 1754 to 1775. He was the grandson of the founder of the Awadh dynasty and played a significant role during a time of political turmoil marked by the decline of the Mughal Empire and increasing British influence. Known for his military leadership, Shuja-ud-Daula engaged in conflicts against the British East India Company, including the Battle of Chunar. His rule impacted regional politics, culture, and the balance of power in northern India during the colonial period.
