Asaf Jah was the founder of the Hyderabad State in India, serving as its first Nizam (ruler) starting in the early 18th century. He was a prominent noble in the Mughal Empire before establishing his own rule, which lasted over 50 years. As Nizam, he governed a large and prosperous region, maintaining independence while navigating complex relationships with neighboring powers and the British Empire.
