Roman heritage
Roman heritage refers to the cultural, legal, architectural, and linguistic influences that the ancient Roman civilization has had on modern society. This includes the development of law and governance, evident in many legal systems today; remarkable engineering feats, such as roads and aqueducts; and architectural styles, like arches and domes, reflected in many buildings worldwide. Additionally, Latin, the language of Rome, forms the basis of many modern languages. Roman heritage also encompasses literature, philosophy, and civic concepts that shaped Western civilization and continue to resonate in today's culture and institutions.
