RoboCup

RoboCup is an international competition that aims to advance robotics and artificial intelligence through soccer-themed challenges. Teams of autonomous robots compete in soccer matches, showcasing their ability to perceive their environment, make decisions, and collaborate with one another. Established in 1997, RoboCup also promotes research in areas like robotics, machine learning, and multi-agent systems, with the goal of eventually developing robots that can outperform human soccer players by 2050. Beyond soccer, RoboCup has expanded to include rescue operations, factory automation, and other real-world applications, fostering innovation and collaboration in robotics research.
