An Autonomous System (AS) refers to a collection of connected networks and routers under the control of a single organization that presents a common routing policy to the internet. Each AS is assigned a unique number (ASN) for identification. Essentially, it allows the organization to manage its own network traffic and communicate with other networks efficiently.
