Revolutionary Russia
Revolutionary Russia refers to a period in the early 20th century marked by political upheaval, primarily the 1917 revolutions. The February Revolution ended the Tsarist autocracy, leading to the establishment of a provisional government. In October, the Bolsheviks, led by Vladimir Lenin, overthrew this government in a coup, establishing a communist regime. This revolution aimed to address social inequality and the hardships of World War I. It ultimately led to the Russian Civil War and the creation of the Soviet Union in 1922, profoundly influencing global politics and ideologies for much of the 20th century.
