Rajput States were a collection of warrior kingdoms in northern and western India, emerging around the 6th century CE. These states were established by Rajputs, a warrior caste known for their military prowess and codes of honor. The prominent kingdoms included Mewar, Marwar, and Amber. The Rajputs played a crucial role in resisting invasions, particularly from the Mughal Empire. They are celebrated for their valor, loyalty, and rich cultural heritage, including palaces, forts, and traditions of chivalry. Over time, many Rajput states formed alliances and kingdoms, contributing significantly to India's historic landscape.
