Rajiv Gandhi
Rajiv Gandhi was an Indian politician who served as the Prime Minister from 1984 to 1989. He was a member of the prominent Nehru-Gandhi family, initially an airline pilot before entering politics after his brother’s assassination. As Prime Minister, he worked on modernizing India’s economy, improving technology, and reducing bureaucracy. His leadership also focused on education and infrastructure development. Sadly, his life was cut short when he was assassinated in 1991 by militants. Rajiv Gandhi’s tenure is often remembered for efforts to transform India into a more progressive and globally integrated nation.
