Pulleys

A pulley is a simple machine that helps lift heavy objects more easily. It consists of a wheel with a groove around its edge, through which a rope or cable runs. By pulling down on one end of the rope, the pulley allows you to lift something on the other end, often changing the direction of the force needed. Pulleys can be used alone or combined in systems (block and tackle) to further reduce the effort required to raise loads. They are commonly found in cranes, elevators, and exercise equipment, making tasks more efficient.
