Public Health England

Public Health England (PHE) was an executive agency of the UK government, established to protect and improve the nation’s health. It focused on preventing illness, promoting healthy lifestyles, and responding to public health emergencies. PHE worked with local authorities, the NHS, and other organizations to monitor health trends, conduct research, and provide guidance on health policies. In 2021, PHE was replaced by the UK Health Security Agency and Office for Health Improvement and Disparities to further enhance health protection and address health inequalities across the country.
