Platonic solids

Platonic solids are three-dimensional shapes that are highly symmetrical, consisting of faces that are identical, regular polygons. There are exactly five Platonic solids: the tetrahedron (4 faces), cube (6 faces), octahedron (8 faces), dodecahedron (12 faces), and icosahedron (20 faces). Each solid has the same number of edges meeting at each vertex. They are named after the ancient philosopher Plato, who associated them with elements of nature, considering them fundamental to the structure of the universe. Their beauty and symmetry have made them a subject of fascination in mathematics, art, and philosophy.
