regular polyhedra

Regular polyhedra, also called Platonic solids, are three-dimensional shapes with faces that are all identical regular polygons (like equilateral triangles or squares). Each face meets at the same angle, and the same number of faces meet at every corner or vertex. These shapes are highly symmetrical and mathematically elegant. Only five such solids exist: the tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedron. They are fundamental in geometry, illustrating perfect symmetry and balance, and have applications in art, architecture, and nature.
