Piagetian Theory
Piagetian Theory explains how children develop their thinking skills through four stages: sensorimotor, preoperational, concrete operational, and formal operational. As children grow, they actively explore their environment, gradually building understanding and mental structures. In early stages, they learn through physical interaction and direct experience. Over time, they develop more complex thought processes, like reasoning, problem-solving, and understanding abstract concepts. Piaget believed this development is a natural, stage-based process driven by children’s curiosity and active engagement with the world.
