Piagetian tasks
Piagetian tasks are experiments designed to assess cognitive development in children, based on Jean Piaget's theories. These tasks evaluate how children understand concepts like conservation (the notion that quantity doesn't change despite shape changes), classification (grouping items based on shared features), and egocentrism (recognizing perspectives different from one's own). For example, a child might be asked if two identical balls of clay have the same amount, even if one is flattened. These tasks help researchers and educators understand how children's thinking evolves as they grow and how they comprehend the world around them.
