Nikolai Danilevsky

Nikolai Danilevsky was a 19th-century Russian naturalist, writer, and cultural philosopher, best known for his work "Russia and Europe." He proposed the idea that different cultures develop in unique, cyclical ways and that Russia represented a distinct cultural type, separate from Western Europe. Danilevsky argued that each culture has its own historical path and should not be judged by the standards of another.
