Massoud Rajavi
Massoud Rajavi is an Iranian opposition leader and the head of the People's Mujahedin of Iran (PMOI), an organization that advocates for the overthrow of the Iranian government. Born in 1948, he became a prominent figure during Iran's 1979 revolution. The PMOI originally combined Marxism and Islam but has shifted towards a democratic socialist stance. Rajavi has lived in exile for decades, primarily in France, and has been a controversial figure; while some view him as a champion for democracy, others criticize the PMOI for authoritarian tendencies and a lack of transparency in its operations.
