Liver Cirrhosis

Liver cirrhosis is a serious condition where the liver becomes severely scarred due to long-term damage, often from chronic alcohol use, hepatitis, or fatty liver disease. The liver is essential for processing nutrients, filtering toxins, and producing important proteins. When cirrhosis occurs, the liver can’t function properly, leading to symptoms like fatigue, jaundice (yellowing of the skin), and swelling in the abdomen and legs. This condition is progressive and can lead to liver failure or liver cancer if not managed. Early detection and treatment are crucial for slowing its progression and improving quality of life.
