League of Communists of Yugoslavia
The League of Communists of Yugoslavia was the ruling political party of Yugoslavia from its founding in 1952 until the early 1990s. Aimed at promoting communism, it emerged after World War II under the leadership of Josip Broz Tito, who emphasized a unique form of socialism. The party played a crucial role in uniting the diverse ethnic groups within Yugoslavia. However, after Tito's death in 1980, internal tensions and economic difficulties led to its decline and the eventual breakup of the country in the early 1990s, resulting in a series of conflicts during the Yugoslav Wars.
