Laurasia
Laurasia was a supercontinent that formed during the late Mesozoic era, around 200 million years ago, when the Earth's landmasses began to break apart. It primarily included what is now North America, Europe, and Asia (excluding the Indian subcontinent). Laurasia underwent significant geological changes over millions of years due to plate tectonics. Its separation from the southern supercontinent Gondwana contributed to the biodiversity we see today. Understanding Laurasia helps geologists and paleontologists study the Earth's history, climate changes, and the evolution of different species across continents.
