Mesozoic Era
The Mesozoic Era, often called the "Age of Reptiles," lasted from about 252 to 66 million years ago. It was a time when dinosaurs dominated the land, seas were filled with marine reptiles, and the first birds and flowering plants appeared. The era saw significant geological changes, including the breakup of the supercontinent Pangaea. It ended with a mass extinction event that wiped out many species, including the dinosaurs. The Mesozoic is key to understanding the evolution of life and the shifting Earth's landscape during that distant past.
