
King Ur-Nammu
King Ur-Nammu was a ruler of the ancient Sumerian city-state of Ur, reigning around 2112-2095 BCE. He is best known for founding the Third Dynasty of Ur and for his significant contributions to law and society, including the creation of one of the earliest known legal codes, which emphasized justice and protection for all citizens.
